Nvidia è (quasi) tra i primi produttori ad aggiornare i propri prodotti ad android 5.
Con un comunicato sul suo blog annuncia la release 2.0 del software update per Shield tablet.

SHIELD Tablet Software Upgrade 2.0
This update contains important enhancements to further improve your SHIELD tablet experience, including:

• SHIELD Tablet Android 5.0 ‘Lollipop’ Software upgrade
  SHIELD Tablet just got sweeter with Android 5.0 ‘Lollipop’. New UI, animations and notifications inspired by Material Design, improved app performance, and new graphics APIs for advanced gaming are just some of the features with the new OS.
• NVIDIA GRID On-Demand Gaming Service
  The GRID Gaming Service is now a feature of SHIELD Hub, letting you stream popular games to your SHIELD, including Batman: Arkham City and Borderlands 2. Free access starts today in North America and Western Europe until June 30, 2015. However GRID is not available in Germany at this time. We plan to expand coverage to include Germany and Asia Pacific next year.
• New NVIDIA Dabbler v2.0
  NVIDIA® Dabbler™ has a completely redesigned UI inspired by Material Design. We’ve heard your requests for how to make Dabbler even better, and added support for layers, moveable shape guides, and the ability to easily share your painting session live on Twitch.
